Harsh Reality

(lyrics to a song which appears on Danielle’s most recent CD, DRIVE)

I was on a lifeboat
I was lost at sea
You made a promise
To rescue me

Chorus:
But I was only dreaming
Of what I wish would be
Guess I should just stop dreaming
And face reality

I was in a phone booth
I was out of change
Then out of nowhere
You called my name

Chorus:

I was in a corner
And I couldn’t see
You turned the light on
To undress me

Chorus:

I was at the station
I got off the train
You said you’d meet me
But you never came

Chorus:

I was on a streetcar
Going the wrong way
But you were there beside me
So I didn’t care

Chorus:

Harsh Reality
Harsh Reality
